Gnomes for Christmas. And Hanukkah too!

Yes, I was inspired by a menorah I saw in Home Goods a month or so ago......so I started planning a card for my Jewish friends.....  I was contacted byStephanie of thecraftymedic.com to join a group of demonstrators with a challenge to make a Hanukkah card using only current Stampin Up Products.   I love all the ideas everyone came up with.

Hey, friend

I know, way too long between posts.....

I am IN SEARCH OF tech help!    I need a tutor for the following:   You Tube - not on how to do a video, but how to set up a channel, more than one channel.  Changing channel from personal to a business.   I have watched numerous You Tube videos how, but halfway through the steps, what they show on the screen doesn’t appear on my screen.    iPhone/iPad photo tutor:    I also need a few tips on taking better photos of my projects using my iPhone or iPad.    I am sure either of these would not take much time, but I have spent too many hours searching and not getting anywhere.   Willing to pay with Stampin’ Up! Merchandise or cash.    Contact me if you can help.  If I get those 2 items taken care of, I would love to be able to post to this blog more often!

In the meantime, sharing one of creations using the upcoming Dragonfly Garden set and items from the suite in the Mini catalog that starts in January.  I used the Sketch #462 from Freshly Made Sketches Blog https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/ for inspiration.

Hope you are inspired today to create something to share with someone else -  Spreading Joy!

Scrappy Strips Card

SO---- It has been a very long time since my last post and I am not even going to try and figure out why!

Starting Fresh TODAY.

Here is a pretty easy card to make, not much supplies and super easy to create.   You just need some scraps of cardstock and you can choose which colors to use, depending on who you are sending it to.  I CASED this card from the Famous Bruno Bertucci - husband of also famous, Kylie Bertucci.   It is fun and it goes together quickly.    I made several -   These two using a black card base and a white card base.

This one I made for my grandson - His favorite color is blue, so I just used blues a white layer and Blueberry Bushel card base.   The boy and guitar are from a long ago retired set called Skating By.

This last one I added the daisy flower from the upcoming Set Ornate Style that is part of a Suite of Stamp sets, Coordinating Dies, embellishments and DSP.   I fussy cut the daisy out as there are no dies for that.

Which one is your Favorite?

Highlights and Lowlights from Embossing Paste Class

Actually this class was a lot of fun!   AND not too messy either with 4 stampers

I had ordered some embossing paste over a year ago and never used it!   I hope I am not alone in purchasing items and not using them right away or ever.

Fast Forward to OnStage Atlanta -   I received a Swap card from a gal that was sitting at the same table, also from Florida.   I decided I was going to make that card for a card class.   Well I did make it but I did not use the embossing paste.   I hold my classes in a church hall and didn't want to be responsible for any messes.    However, I did pull out my embossing paste, masks (stencils) and the palette tools and just started to play.  I made a decent size mess and the end result was ok, but went in to the trashcan.  About a week later, I decided to try again.   This time I got a plastic placemat from the Dollar Tree, used some Washi tape to tape down my mask and cardstock and tried again.   It turned out great and I made the card front into a card and sent it off to someone for their birthday.

I decided to hold a class in my house and limit the number of people to attend making it easier to contain any mess.   There really wasn't any mess and everyone enjoyed playing with the paste and made a few cards and some cardfronts using various reinkers to color the paste.

Here are the cards we made and the cardfronts I
made.

Wow the first month of Sale a bration is almost over!     Seems like yesterday was New Years Eve!

Sale a bration is in full swing with many options to choose for FREE with a $50 order.   Starting February 4th, Stampin Up is bringing some Coordinating items to those in the SAB catalog as well as the Mini Catalog.....Most of these are dies that coordinate with stamp sets that don't currently have the dies.   These items are for purchase, they are while quantities last only, so when they come out, get them before they are gone!  Here are the Coordination Products coming up on February 4th.

Being a demonstrator, we are able to preorder these during January....just another perk for joining my team.    Oh, and did you see that cute paper cutter and 6x6 sampler of DSP in the back of the SAB catalog?    Well that is another perk for joining my team.   Anyone signing up during SAB gets the cutter and the DSP sampler!    Current demonstrators were able to preorder it during December.   I have used some of the papers and I use the cutter every time I stamp!

January is National Thank You Month!

January is National Thank You Month!

I was looking over some papers I have and noticed this written down.   Where I got it from, I have no idea, but I LOVE IT.

So I typically hand out thank you notes frequently.   I  give them to my server in a restaurant, a store employee that helps me locate an item or just does something nice for me,  even other customers.   How about those who let me go ahead of them in line?   How about when I am lost and ask someone for directions?   And how about postal workers, UPS drivers, PRIME delivery, and so much more. YEP, they get one too!    Spread the LOVE is what I like to call it.

Who else could use a card?  Workers at the airport, taxi, uber drivers.....There are endless ways to spread the Love

About 15 years I started handing out small Thank You cards  3x3 size.   A coworker gave me a tin to hold those cards so they stay nice in my purse.   Typically I write a little note inside and sign it so I can just hand it to someone when I need to.    This month’s Paper Pumpkin is great for that, 3x3 cards fit perfect.  I don't have a photo of those items today, but will later this week.

There was a past Paper Pumpkin that was perfect too. Even had a carrying case for them.  SO CUTE!

What is Paper Pumpkin you ask?    It is a kit in the mail!   Each month you receive a kit in your mailbox with everything you need to create beautiful projects.   There is a stamp set and coordinating papers and a ink spot and embellishments and directions  to make the projects along with some alternate ideas for the kit too.  You only need to supply a block to put the stamps on and your first Paper Pumpkin comes with a block!   Sometimes there are glue dots and dimensionals included with the kit, but have your favorite adhesive on hand to use.   Check it out through my Paper Pumpkin page.   Sign up by the 10th of the month.   You can purchase 3, 6, 12 month subscriptions as well as get month to month.  you can skip months, cancel anytime too.

Here is my tin now, I just repainted it in my favorite color, lime green!  I found these rhinestones in a drawer and I can’t remember where I got them, but it dresses my tin up.

Here are some of my Thank Yous I have currently in my card tin.

So there are a only a few days left to get some Thank You cards out this month, but who says you only have this month to send them out!   Do it anytime.

Let’s spread LOVE!

To get Stampin' Up! products, shop at my STORE - Shop by January 30th and use the Host Code:  CRSVAG9R.    Receive a package of Champagne Rhinestones from me for a minimum $50 order  using the Host Code.

Blogging and Stampin

Hey there friends!    It’s been a loooong time since I was on here.  Factors include, severe back pain,  sciatia, Piriformis Syndrome......a fun trip to Italy and the Greek Isles with Stampin' Up! thrown in and a nonfunctioning iPad and life in general.

Starting tonight! I will attempt to change things.   Acupuncture and Herbs have changed my health!

This may be long, but here goes:

I am just going to share my card projects from my class in Florida this month.

This is a cute 3x3 card that is #simplestamping.   Ink, cardstock and stamps!    Stamped in black memento ink if using alcohol markers, Stazon black if using anything with water...here I used aqua painter and Poppy parade reinker to color the poppies, so yes I used Stazon!

This is a z fold card.....super simple, cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score 2 1/8 and 4 1/4.  Fold in half at the 4 1/4 score and then fold opposite direction on the 2 1/8 score line.   I made a layer of black cardstock and then used  Birthday Bonanza DSP.     I also used the birthday verse from Birthday Bonanza stamp set- from the Mini Catalog.    Happy Birthday came  from Itty Bitty Birthdays and classic label punch and the  Bermuda Bay circle is from the layering circle dies all from the Annual Catalog.  The black swirling circle is from the Painted Label Dies from the Mini catalog and the Gangs all Meer - from the Sale a Bration Catalog that you can choose for FREE with a $50 purchase.  Stamped in Memento Black and colored in with Stampin blends.

We only made one of the bird cards....bottom left.   Stamped in Memento Black ink and colored in using Stampin Blends.   Tied a bow using Linen Thread.   Bottom right is a card I CASEd from a swap I received from OnStage Atlanta, using Shimmer White Embossing Paste.... top card I stamped and colored, then ran it thru my Big Shot with the Scripty embossing folder.
Last Card is a Valentines Card.   The two different DSP prints are actually the same paper, showing both sides!   I cut the  DSP 4 x 6 and put in my new little paper cutter - a extra perk for joint Stampin’ Up! During Sale  a Bration!   Cut on a diagonal, widest part 2”.  Using snail I layered both sides together making sure the size measured correctly for front layer.  I added ribbon to hide where the 2 papers meet.   Using Heartfelt Bundle from Mini catalog, I punched 2 scallop hearts in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo, stamped the dotted heart and love you lots from the stamp set and arrow in Smoky Slate...fussy cutting it out.   Add some dimensionals and faceted gems from that suite.  The inside uses the stamps from Heart to Heart in Real Red ink......I just love those little hearts with the flowers...2 separte stamps, but photopolymer so easy to line up.
I hope you enjoy this cards and Help keep me accountable by commenting which will in turn keep me posting updates!

FREE SHIPPING !!! Plus DSP Sale still going on

Hey, I know it’s been like a hot minute since last posting on my Blog, but here goes!   I have a few wonderful products in this new catalog...
