Club Cards for August Club

Summer is coming to an end :(, I love the Heat!   I know, I hear the groans, about the heat, humidity, hazy weather, but I LOVE IT!!!    and I love these cooler nights and the warmth of the sun on these days, but dread the cold that comes with winter.

The last 2 months have flown by.   July was Stampin' Up!'s Convention which was phenomenal!!!  Lots of FREE stamp sets, and accessories, swapping, sharing and learning, meeting new friends, and seeing friends from Conventions past.   I came home, unpacked and got ready for my annual family picnic.   Mom and Ed and my brother and his fiance came up from Florida to see everyone and we had a great time.  YUM!   Steamed Crabs!, Family, Good Food.   What could be better?

There were my birthday and my daughter, Robyn's birthday and we decided to go to Ocean City for a two day mini vacation for our Birthdays.   Came home and packed up for our annual trip to Knoxville, Iowa for the Knoxville Nationals Sprint Car Racing.   While out in Iowa, I met up with fellow demonstrator - it's a network folks!!!  everywhere I go, I look up demonstrators in the area to meet and share.  I met up with Becky Watkins and we shared some of our projects from classes, conventions, group meetings, etc.   My husband and I left Knoxville and headed to NC, to the Cherokee Casino area and met up with his sister and parents, it was a fun time (not a rich time, but fun anyway!)  Now back home a few days.   Got ready for my Stamp Club that met last night and again tomorrow to make their cards.   This round of my stamp club is ending this month, but the new one starts up in September and I do have a space available....Contact me for more information, but do it soon!

This first card uses one of the new sets in the Holiday Catalog, it is also a part of a bundle.   If you purchase both the stamp set and the framelits that coordinate with that set, you save 15%!!!, there are several different sets to choose from.

The set is Scentsational Season and I used the mug and aroma swirl and the matching framelit that cut out the mug so nice and evenly.  I also used the label framelit behind the mug and popped up the mug using our wonderful dimensionals.   I used the new Core'dinations card stock in Cherry Cobbler, embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder and sanded the card stock to show off the white core of the card stock (I don't have the new sanding block yet) so the sanded part is not as white as it can be, but I like it.  I placed this onto a Crumb cake card and tied some crumb cake seam binding in a knot and tied the tag made with the modern label punch and the greeting from Petite Pairs stamp set with linen thread.

I inked the mug in Always Artichoke ink and put some peppermint embossing powder on top and heat set it.

AND my club members have at least one Christmas card made now!!!  WOO HOO!

The next card was made with the Moving Forward stamp set, the Ronald McDonald House stamp set this year.....Stampin' Up! donates $3 from the sale of this set sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities.   Only one way a they have partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities, they make a generous donation once a year, they donate the $3 from the sale of each of these sets sold and they have demonstrators across the country go to local houses and volunteer time at the house doing whatever is needed.   I volunteer here at the Baltimore RMcDH every month stamping the the guests who are there and love it!!!

The card is Lucky Limeade (anyone shocked I chose that color???) I layered a piece of Lucky Limeade DSP and added a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon.   The melon mambo layer is embossed with the Chevron embossing folder and put on top of the card using dimensionals.   The bike from the stamp set is inked in melon mambo ink and I used daffodil delight and lucky limeade markers to color on the stamp for the flowers in the basket.   I stamped Happy birthday in Pacific Point.   To add some bling, I added rhinestones on each wheel.

ENJOY!

Rachel visits Grammy and Grandpa

Rachel came to visit Grammy and Grandpa today...Mike and Christine were headed nearby to a friends house for a birthday party, so they stopped by to say hi.

I am learning how to upload these pictures from my iPad to my blog. This is my Daughter Christine and Rachel. While she was here, sitting on my lap while I was sitting on the floor, she stood and took a step!!! Her daddy saw it, but both of us yelled OH and she sat down. Still waiting for her to crawl, she gets up on her knees but can't figure out moving yet.

This morning I went to my downline's house to make this cute box of cards, mine are not finished yet, but working on them now. Picture in a day or two.

Enjoy!

July Stampin' Club Cards & New Stampin' Club Forming

These Stampin' Club cards for the month of July...   The first one, uses the Blooming with Kindness stamp set., which I just LOVE.   It is on page 87 of the catalog and comes with 6 stamps total.   5 greeting stamps and this huge flower! all for $16.95 for clear mount and $22.95 for wood mount.  That comes out to just $3.30 per stamp for clear mount and  $4.46 wood mount, and that includes shipping and tax!

I used Rose red card stock and Rose Red DSP and Rose Red ink.....All the same color!!!  Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to match card stock, designer series paper (DSP), inks, markers, ribbons, brads and more!!!  I punched a piece of black card stock using the Adorning Accents Edgelits die with my Big Shot, so simple and quick!!! I stamped the flower in rose red ink in the center of the whisper white card stock, then again in the upper right corner and lower left corner, just a bit lighter and sponged all around this with rose red ink and gumball green ink in the corners.  I stamped the greeting in black ink on whisper white card stock and punch it out using the Blossom petals builder punch, then layered a piece of gumball green card stock also punched with the same punch behind the greeting, just a little bit to the right side and popped it up using Dimensionals.

This next card I used the Reason to Smile stamp set.   This set was available only during July.
I used Daffodil Delight card stock and stamped the small flowers randomly with pumpkin pie ink and added a greeting from Word Play stamp set with black staz on ink, I sponged around the outside of the card with daffodil ink and some pumpkin pie ink.   Tying some lucky limeade ruffled ribbon around card and into a knot.  (DO YOU LOVE THESE RUFFLED RIBBONS AS MUCH AS I DO???)
I stamped the flower in black staz on and colored the image using daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and lucky limeade markers and a blender pen.   Of course I had to sponge some same ink colors around the edges.   The layer of daffodil card stock behind the flower image, was cut using the labels framelits and the Big Shot and embossed using the Elegant lines embossing folder and sponged some color on the edges too.  Popping this above using the wonderful Dimensionals.

This round of the stampin' Club is ending this month, August.   A new round of stampin' club will start in September and will run thru May (except December).  To join, you must commit to a minimum $20 order each month from September thru May, excluding December.   Club stampin' dates are held on the 3rd Friday evening, 7pm and the 3rd Sunday, 1pm.   Your requirement to place an order of $20 or more must be placed by the 3rd Sunday (or Friday) whichever is the latest in the month, regardless if you attend the stampin' club date.   If you do not attend the stampin' club date, you will get a email picture of the projects we make and when the club order arrives, you will get the card stock and any embellishments to make the projects in your order.     The club runs for 8 months and will consist of 8 people, each month a different person will be the Hostess and receive all Hostess benefits.   If the Hostess holds a separate party with her friends (at her home or mine), those orders will be added to the club order for more benefits.   Anyone holding a party will also get to choose a gift from my Hostess Basket of Goodies in addition to the Hostess Dollars.

To join this club, you will just need to contact me no later than Aug 31st.   When I have 8 people signed up, I will start a back up list, when that list reaches 8 people, that will be the 2nd club.   Anyone can join, near or far,   For Long Distance members, additional shipping charges will be added to mail your order to you along with your stamp club projects card stock and embellishments.
