Last Group of Cards From Stampin' Up! Demo Gathering

Here is the last group of cards my the Stampin' event a week ago!   I finished all the cards (except 1), something I hardly ever get done so fast after a BIG make and take event.

This group uses the Starburst Sayings and coordinating framelits.   Sprinkled through out these are some Sale a bration items too!  This first one uses the Watercolor Wonder DSP, isn't it beautiful?   The pebble like embossing is a FREE item from Sale a bration.  Get yours for FREE with the purchase of $50 on any items from the Annual or Occasions catalog or any of the Best of Stamp sets, or the Photopolomer sets and any digital downloads too!
I just love the petite petals stamps and matching punch!!! do you notice the baked brown sugar ribbon?  it is so subtle, but adds so much too.
On this card, the stamping is done first, then the embossing.  Also the Oh, Happy Day is actually on the inside of the card, and the card front the framelit is used to cut that  area out.  A great masculine card.

Notice the arrows embossing on this card?   a new item in the Occasions catalog.

I hope you enjoyed these cards from our Stampin' Up! demo event.   I loved making these cards and will be sending them to family and friends in the near future.

Do you want to get some of these items from the Occasions catalog?, some FREEBIES from the Sale a bration catalog?  and any purchase of $20 or more gets to choose an item from my Big bag of Stampin' Up! goodies.   I keep adding new items daily.

More cards from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog 2014

As promised here are some more cards using some fun new items from the new Occasions Catalog - they used to call this the Mini catalog, well there is nothing mini about this catalog!   It is stocked full of fun new products and of course tons of ideas to make with these new products.  My list is long, but with Sale a Bration (SAB) starting next week (the 28th), for each $50 in merchandise purchased, I get to pick a FREE item from the SAB catalog.  If you don't have a copy of either of these catalogs, contact me to get yours!

This first group uses a new Bundle from the Occasions catalog, Just Sayin' stamp set and  the Word Bubbles framelits, purchase them together and save 15%!

Simple! some DSP, one word greeting and a little bling!  The DSP is from the Kaleidoscope DSP from the Occasions catalog, and the greeting and coordinating framelit, some red glimmer paper punch out with the mini heart punch and some black 1/8" taffeta ribbon and of course, dimensionals.

Same stamp set,  framelits, DSP and ribbon just a different color.  Some candy dots make this card suitable for anyone! man of woman, young or old.
This card uses use the same stamp set and framelits and the small piece of DSP is from the Fresh Prints DSP stack also in the Occasions catalog.   Add some texture (these embossed lines are from the Holiday catalog) and not available, at least not for now.   Who knows, it might show up later....finish it up with some bakers twine and a candy dot.
This DSP is from the SAB catalog, Sweet Sorbet, and I just love these papers in this DSP.   This pattern is not so flowery,  making it a great use for any project.  Added is a Petite Petal  punched out with a rhinestone on top.

This next group of cards uses the stamp set, Happy Watercolor from the Occasions catalog.   One of my favorite sets from this catalog.

You can barely see the stamped image on the pebbled embossed (FREE in the SAB catalog)   front panel, it is a "shadow" stamp from the set, inked up and stamped off first before stamping on the panel (before the embossing).  I used the Happy from the set, but only inked up the Happy and then chose a smaller Birthday from a Hostess set from the regular catalog, a button and some bakers twine finish the tag that was made with the tag topper punch.

Another tag punched card, so simple the this punch.   The images are from the same set, except for the greeting, from the set in the regular catalog, Too Kind.   Notice the gold washi tape?   New in the Occasions catalog.
This image is colored in using a blender pen and the Calypso Coral marker and I rounded the corners from that image with the envelope punch board....
The background stamped in 3 different colors and then the flower image stamped over it with Black Staz on ink.

Hope you like these cards as much as I did, Most of them were fairly simple to make, some requiring no coloring, fussy cutting, just quick cards when you need them.

If you have questions on how to make any of these cards, leave a comment and for each comment from someone who is local, can come and choose from my BIG BAG full of retired goodies to choose from.   Those that are not local, I will draw a name and send the winner a free S Up gift from me.

ENJOY!

Cards, Cards and more cards - Occasions Catalog & SAB 2014

I have been busy stampin', however not so much bloggin" , I am sorry about that too because I LOVE to share what I stamp, whether I design the card (rarely) or CASE it or completely copy it or attended a Stampin' Up! event.  SO I am sharing sharing sharing today.

Today is a snowy day in Maryland, the temperatures are dropping and the wind is picking up!! Oh Joy!   Anyone who knows me, knows I HATE THE COLD!   Give me a 90 degree day anytime!
I was supposed to have a surgical procedure on my face from an awful dog bite I got for Christmas! and it was postponed til later in the week, SO today, I will be stamping, taking pictures and getting some blog posts done and scheduled, for at least every other day for a few days.

Sit back, enjoy a beverage and look over these creations.   I will give credits to the designer or where I made these cards if I don't know the designer.

This group of cards I made at a Stampin' Up! Demo Group Event.  The event had 20 cards designed and we were making card fronts of these cards.   Mine cards are full cards because I wanted to make these cards that I could use if I needed a card QUICK.   Also, my cards a probably different than the cards, I had to move things a little to "hide" my mess ups and a few cards, I didn't stamp everything needed to put the card together, so when I finished the cards at home, I had to use what I had.

I have read a few places that said yellow and gray are "IN" right now.   This first card uses smoky slate and calypso coral ink   The stamps used are Sassy salutations for the Happy Birthday, Label Love and coordinating punch and the new Petite Petals with coordinating punch that is in the new Occasions Catalog and you can purchase it as a Bundle and Save $15%.   Also used is the fancy fan embossing folder and calypso coral bakers twine, rhinestones and of course my staple "dimensionals"

Here's the yellow and gray card.   Using smoky slate and daffodil delight - the striped DSP is from the Watercolor Wonder DSP that is in the Occasions Catalog. - OH MY, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper.   I used the same Petite Petals stamp set and punch like the above card and some pearls and stitched ribbon and dimensionals.

This next few cards use the new set, Perfect Pennants and the Banners Framelits in the Occasions catalog, these are bundle priced too!    A framelit to cut those pennants!!! Oh, I'm in love.  Also used is the DSP from Fresh Prints paper stack, 48 sheets, all coordinated and beautiful!  Gold bakers twine, rhinestone and of course dimensionals!

This next card uses the same items and in addition uses the Ampersand embossing folder that is in the Occasions catalog.   After embossing the ampersand, I used coastal cabana ink and sponged over it to make it stand out a bit.   Real red stitched ribbon, some more of the paper stack dsp and of course, dimensionals.

Some Gorgeous Grunge stamp set paired with the Perfect Pennants stamp set, some Washi tape, pansy punch flower and the new Petite Petals flower punched out....and of course...a few dimensionals

Notice the paper stack DSP again ( I love the colors!)  along with Perfect Pennant stamp set and framelit and notice the tag top???? That is a new PUNCH, you will love it! OH MY.

Another match of DSP, stamp set, and tag topper punch, along with a new Arrow embossing folder!

Do you have a copy of the new Occasions Catalog?   If you have not received yours, contact me to get your copy.   Want to order from the catalog?   You can do this in many ways, go to my website, www.stampergirl.stampinup.net, click on shop now and look for the Occasions catalog and order what you WANT!, send me a email with your order - I will be placing the order next Monday.  You can also txt me your order or the old fashioned way, give me a call, 410.382.4874.

SO, how many new items have I used from the new Occasions catalog?   Look these cards over, and leave a comment with how many new items are in these cards and I will send you some cool Gold bakers twine.   I will draw a winner from the correct guesses on the 26th.

ENJOY! and Keep warm and create something fun today.

Last segment of cards

Here are the last few cards I have to share.....new product is arriving and I am busy and will share some new creations soon.  UPS is coming a day later than I had hoped since I paid extra $$$ to have it sent quicker, but spent most of the 3 days sitting in PA and then Baltimore for a day!    Of course I waited til the end of the month before I placed my order!!!

Here is Sue's card, she used the petals a plenty embossing folder and cut out a shim in the tree shape and embossed with her machine, coloring with a glitter gel pen all the little centers of the flowers!!!
I love this card from Kathie - I was never a bird lover, but have grown to enjoy using them in my stamping projects, watching them from time to time and my favorite Christmas audio book by Fannie Flagg, A Redbird Christmas..
last card, my friend, Joyce, so simple, I love it.    I would never have gotten the stamped manger scene centered!

ENJOY!

More Cards to Share

Here are some more cards from  my friends:

Fro Kathy, green trees!  My favorite color, GREEN! all that paper piercing!!!  I can't believe she did all that paper piercing, she does not like anything to do with sewing, needles, thread...and paper piercing is not far behind sewing!    I on the other hand, love paper piercing.   I just need to remind myself to do it more often.
This card is Bert's - Elegant.   dry embossing, stamp embossing, punching too.
Here is Diane's card, Stamping and dry embossing.   What a great job!  the photo does not do this card justice.

Eileen's beautiful Red and white (and green) card.

Sharing some Christmas cards

Did you get all your Christmas cards an gifties made in time?   I think this is the first year that I did send all of my cards in time and made some gifties and had them complete in time!!! Amazing...first time and I have been making my Christmas cards for 15 years.

Want to know my secret?   Well there isn't one, not really.    I keep a list from year to year of cards I send and receive and I do continue sending cards even if I do not receive from others, why?   Because I like sending them as well as receiving them.   So, back to my secret...I keep all my Christmas stamps in a under the bed box along with my list and starting in July, I start planning Christmas cards for my stamp club....I pull out my box or get some new products and make a card for the club members to make.   I make a few extra packets of these cards and before I put away all the supplies to make the cards, I sit down and make those extra - usually around 4.   I continue this thru Oct which gives me 16 cards (I send @ 65).   In Oct and November I plan a few Christmas card classes and I make 4 each of those cards, that gives me about 36 more cards.    The rest of the cards I need come from inspirations from blogs I visit, Stampin' Up! demo events, the Stampin' Up! demo site, Pinterest, Splitcoast stampers and just about anywhere.

So start sooner,  join my Stampin' club - it starts in June and goes to May, with no Stamp Club commitment in November or December (however, I do hold stamp club for those that want to participate those months).   or attend one of My Holiday card making classes.

I didn't take pictures of the cards I sent, but I do have some pictures of cards I received from Stampin' friends.

Linda's 3-dimensional tree card.... I have made ornament cards like this, but never thought to do a Christmas tree.

Jean's woven ribbon card.....Jean always do something intricate with ribbons or paper piecing....I would never attempt this technique, but I LOVE it...
Nancy's embossed poinsettia, simplicity, and elegant.   Love all of these.

I will be posting more cards over the next few days, but probably won't get to all of them, I wish I could.

ENJOY!
