My Swap cards at Convention

This Post should have posted 2 days ago, I have no idea why...why....why...  when I schedule a date/time for a post to be posted, nothing happens, it doesn't post til I go into the post and choose to publish now.   Anyone have any suggestions?    Anyone who can help me rectify this problem, you can pick a stamp set from my retired sets.   LET ME KNOW

I sure am trying.....I still can't upload pics from my ipad to my blog.   I have installed an app, blogpress, but still unable, I am sure I am doing something wrong.   Will have to go to an Apple store and figure it out.    Anyone out there, local that is ipad proficient and can give me a lesson or two, in exchange for stampin' dollars from me, let me know.

I did take a picture with my camera, old camera card, of one of my swaps.   After I upload that picture, I will put the other card in my laptop and see if I took a picture of my other swap cards with the new camera card...

This card (actually a card front) uses Bring on the Cake stamp set, page 142 of the catalog.   I used the hand with Wish Big and stamped it using Midnight Muse.   SO SIMPLE with the new inks, just press to ink pad and stamp, no pounding on stamp pad needed!!!  I used the Argyle embossing folder and Gumball Green card stock.   I attached a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon, but did not use a bow or a knot, I wanted this card for a masculine birthday.   The birthday greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punching it out with the word window punch and punching the layer using the modern label punch.  I made 21 of these and swapped them before the general session every day of convention.

OK, now to see if I can find pictures of my other swaps.

I think I figured it out.....I will try and post those 2 swaps first, then I will post this one.

Well, I am trying this from my iPad....ok where is the upload picture thingy????

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Here is the first card swap, this was for the Proverbial Stampers Get together swap. I used the ever popular Mixed Bunch stamp set. I saw so many swaps a convention using this set, I used Pool Party card stock, ink and ruffled ribbon, all matching. I also used Regal rose ink and cardstock, embossing the regal rose cardstock using the big shot elegant lines embossing folder. Mixed Bunch stamp set has a matching punch and I used a 1" circle punch in pool party cardstock, then stamped the center flower in regal rose ink and added crystal effects and let dry for 2 days, NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!! I punched them using the 3/4" circle punch. I did not put the card together, but brought the parts in stamp boxes and gong to assemble at SLC....flying and crystal effects don't mix well. All those centers stuck together.
I attended another swap, a shoebox swap and one of the ladies had a card using that set, the punch and a darker ink. She graciously allowed me to use her stamp, ink and punch to make the 26 parts I needed....Thank you Judy Rossiter!!!! You saved my swapping.

The next card uses Blooming with Kindness set...And my favorite technique, embossed resist...

I stamped the flower image in versamark ink and used clear embossing powder and heat set, I then sponged Baja Breeze ink all over the flower, then buffed with a paper towel....and that is it!!! Embossed resist is such an easy technique. I used the big shot and the label embosslits and the fancy fan embossing folder. I put some Baja breeze seam binding on the from and the greeting.

enjoy

And the other swap card will either post before or after this post, as I am still learning.....

More Stampin'

Here are some pictures of cards using another set that we got FREE at Convention, Daydream Medalions, it is on pg 117 of the catalog  and the set has 5 medallions, 3 of them are quite large and they coordinate with the Big Shot floral frames framelits dies, which means NO CUTTING these medallions out by hand.  WHEW!   I know some of my favorite stampers are heaving a sigh of relief!

Some rhinestone bling and stitched satin ribbon makes this card pop!
Look how the die cuts out this medallion perfectly?
Here are several cards, each one uses some brads, or pearls in addition to punching out or using the framelits dies to "cut out" the medallions.
Here's a cute scrapbook page, using some new Incolors and some bling!

Next week I will share some samples using some stamp sets from the Holiday Mini....Mini HA! It is the same size pages as our catalog and has 39 pages chock full of upcoming holiday stamps, punches, Big Shot accessories and more!    Did you receive your Holiday Mini?   Contact me to receive yours.

Sharing Stampin' and Family

My Mom and her husband Ed came to Maryland today for our Annual Family Cookout this weekend.   First stop after searching for them at the airport (the guys that pushed them thru the airport in wheelchairs, took them to the upper deck Departures!!!!   It took me 20 minutes to find them after calling and my Mom kept saying "we're right at Delta..." Well, so was I, however I was down in the lower deck at the Arrivals where they should have been.......ANYWAY,   To Meet Rachel.    Rachel was getting fed peas when we got there, she saw us and gave us a big grin.

She held onto her Minnie mouse sucking on Minnie's thumb....  She was happy to see us, but was soon ready for her nap and we headed to my house.

Here are some cards made using one of the stamp sets we received FREE at Convention, You're Amazing.  These cards were on one of the Display boards at Convention so I have no idea who made them.   But this stamp set is great for Men, Women or Children....   In this first picture are two cards on the right, they use the set Blue Ribbon and Take a Ticket wheel.   All three of these sets are in the 2012-2013 Catalog, pages 32 and 33.  The first card uses the Big Shot Square lattice embossing folder as well as the Big Shot Labels collection framelits and some embellishments, Midnight Muse 3/8" stitched satin ribbon and some brads to finish the card off.

This next card uses a Big Shot embossing folder, Argyle and Big Shot Apothecary Accents framelits die.   Look closely and you see some paper piercing,  These are SO COOL.   The new Essentials Paper Piercing Pack has different templates for piercing that coordinates with some punches, edgelits and framelits and the grid is big, not tiny like the old mat pack, this one fits the size of our standard cards.   And I am 100% positive there are going to be more templates matching  more of our punches, edgelits and framelits....Also used are some vintage trinkets, brads that look like buttons.   Check them out on page 175 of the catalog.

That's all for now!   I will try and find some pictures of cards that use some of the other FREE sets we received at Convention.

We are getting some much needed rain here tonight, I just hope the wind isn't too strong to knock down the corn, tomatoes and other vegys we have planted.   I pray that other areas of the country get some rain too.

ENJOY!
