Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set - Hedgehog

This was a bonus card from my class last week.   I saw a few of these on Pinterest and knew I had to make one too.   Isn't he cute????

I used the Hello Friend from the Oh Happy Day kit that is in the Annual Catalog.   This kit is fabulous and once your done the kit, you still have the stamp set to use over and over.   The "hedgehog" is made from the Painted Harvest stamp set that is in the Holiday Catalog and it happens to be the #1 selling stamp set from that Holiday Catalog.   I know it was my #1 stamp set that I ordered from that catalog.   I used crumb cake and soft suede inks for the hedgehog and Early Espresso ink for the greeting and his face and Garden Green for the ferns.   The card stocks that I used were Very Vanilla, Garden Green, and Early Espresso.

To get your own Painted Harvest stamp set, you can purchase it from my Online Store  and have them sent directly to you.    Anyone placing an order of $50 before ship/tax this month, using the Hostess Code:  3FFJH7RT will receive one of my Acetate boxes with 4 shimmery Christmas Cards and envelopes.   The box is so Adorable if I say so..

Beautiful you

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend, she also moved and settled on a new house too.   I used 2 stamp sets, Beautiful You and Star of Light.   I stamped the dancing lady on Whisper White and also on Eastern Palace DSP and "fussy cut" both out and glued one on the top of the other and then put her onto the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the colors that are in the DSP, Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Tranquil Tide.

I used some of the greetings from the Beautiful You stamp set for the inside too.

Like this card to recreate it?   Don't have all the supplies?   You can purchase them from my Online Store  and have them sent directly to you.    Anyone placing an order of $50 before ship/tax this month, using the Hostess Code:  3FFJH7RT will receive one of my Acetate boxes with 4 shimmery Christmas Cards and envelopes.   The box is so Adorable if I say so..

Painted Autumn DSP Thank You Cards

Stampin' Up! has DSP on sale this month and I needed some QUICK and EASY Thank You cards.

I love love LOVE this DSP.   The colors are gorgeous, just like the colors of the leaves on trees this time of year in the Northeast.   My card took about 3 minutes to create and I needed 12.   Within an hour of time, I made 12 cards, and even finished writing in half of them.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and the DSP is cut 5 1/4" x 4".    I used the Layering oval and Stitched oval framelits for the greeting.   I stamped Thank You from Rose Wonder stamp set in Early Espresso ink.   Also I used the leaves from Painted Harvest stamp set on  the vanilla oval using Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo peach.

Don't forget only a few more days for buy 3 get one free of select DSPs.  Sale ends October 31st.

Place an order for yours today on my website, use Hostess Code T7RMGVPT and receive a free gift from me.

Be Happy and get inky!

Swirly Bird masculine birthday

I needed a few quick Happy Birthday cards and some for masculine cards.   Swirly Bird to the rescue, oh and Pinterest too!    Saw this card done by Jackie Bolhuis on Pinterest, so I changed up the ink colors, the word -  Birthday and the inside greeting, but basically the same.

Do you CASE cards on Pinterest?   How do you search for a card?   I did a search for masculine birthday cards Stampin' Up! and found this card.    This card was so quick and easy, 3 colors, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Black.    For the inside of the card, I used the verse from Big on Birthdays and used the same two colors of ink,  Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist.

My sister made a few cards using Emerald Envy and Bermuda Bay.  These cards were super simple to make.  Here are her two cards, one Portrait and one Landscape.   The hardest part was adhering the Happy.   We tried the Sizzix adhesive sheets that Stampin' Up! sells.....that didn't work out too well, lots of sticky on our fingers but not on the word "happy".   Fine tip glue pen to the rescue!  We put the glue on the back of the word "happy" in a lot of places and then pressed and held down the word for about 40 seconds and it stayed.  A few minutes later, I took the adhesive eraser and erased the excess glue that was on the card.

The card took about 10 minutes - maybe less to make from cutting the cardstock, stamping, die cutting the Happy, die cutting the banner and stamping the birthday on the banner in white craft ink and heat setting it to the complete assembly.   When you pull out cardstock to make a card, make 2 cards...since you are cutting the cardstock in two for the card base, you might as well use both pieces!

ENJOY!

CASEing Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight

Are you a CASEr?   I sure am, most projects I make are CASEd from somewhere.   There is so many places to CASE from..... Pinterest, Splitcoast Stampers, Blogs, Blog Hops, Google, Classes, cards you receive in the mail, cards in stores and so many other places.  Several times I have been in line at the Post Office getting postage stamps and they sell cards - looking at these cards, I have taken photos of them to CASE later on.

They are still there on my phone...

Today I am working on changing some of my habits.   WHY??   I have a goal - I would love to earn the next Stampin' Up! grand trip to the Greek Isles.   Earning this trip starts Oct 1st and the earning period goes through September 30th, 2018.

There, I have said my goal, on print for everyone to see, it is no longer just a wish, but now a GOAL.

One of my habits I am changing.....Business hours, not endless hours surfing the internet accomplishing nothing but saving some photos of projects to CASE!

Planned ahead projects for classes, blog posts, Facebook page posts.  The size of my home does not have enough space to hold classes, so I will be searching the area for venues to hold classes.   Currently I hold 1 class a month about 35 minutes north of my home...and I hold the same lasses in Maryland when I visit every month for 6-7 months of the year.   SO I am looking to do more classes in Florida, home parties and online parties too.   Facebook Live videos too.   Since I am retired, I have no other job to do other than Stamp!  Just fun!

Here is my CASE.   My longtime friend and stamper, Joyce sent me a text with a photo of a card she made... I really liked it and need some similar type cards and I thought I am going to CASE that.  A few hours later, sitting at my computer I checked my email and there was a message from Pinterest.  It was a message from Joyce showing me the Pinterest card she CASEd, so.   I stopped what I was doing and starting putting the card together, pulling out DSP and card stock in the colors that are in the DSP.  I used mostly everything that was used in the card on Pinterest, except as I was scrolling up to the top of the page, I saw another card using the Daisy Delight stamp set using the leaves, so I used them too.

Do you CASE or not?  If you CASE, where do you get your ideas to CASE?   Leave a comment and I will choose a random winner to receive this card.  You have until September 20th.

Here are the details of my card:

Stamp Sets:  Daisy Delight, and Thoughts and Prayers
Ink colors:   Pool Party, Old Olive and Night of Navy
Card Stock colors:  Calypso Coral card, layer of Pool Party and layer of Whisper White card stock
The DSP is Delightful Daisy and the colors I chose are in the colors of the DSP
so I didn't have figure out what colors to use Stampin' Up! does the that work for me.
Accessories:   Daisy punch, paper snips to cut those leaves out, dimensionals , mini glue dots, snail and Tombow mono adhesive, Glitter enamel dots and Dapper Denim bakers twine (it so close to Night of Navy I don't think anyone would notice the difference.

Want to place an order, have a party, attend a class or join my team?????   You can shop at my website,   Use the Hostess Code:  44XB2H7N    Place an order of at least $25 and receive a card kit from one of my projects or classes projects in the mail from me.   Everything but stamped images and adhesives will be included.  Want to join my team and get the discount, or earn money, earn the cruise.....contact me and I can answer any questions you may have.   OR you can join just on my website too.  Anyone joining my team gets to pick 1 Stamp set or Accessory from my almost 300 items from my Retired List.  After 3 months on my team, you get to pick 3 more items from the List, after 6 months, you pick 6 more items, 9 months, 9 more items and after 1 year 12 more items!  That is an opportunity to choose up to 31 items in 1 year in addition to all the perks from Stampin' Up!.

Want to know more, have questions or you Just Want to Stamp?   contact me!

OH So Eclectic Stampin' Up! Sympathy cards

Quick sympathy cards.   I used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and some matching card stock and inks that I had with me.  I Have to get creative with what craft items I bring when traveling between 2 states.

I would have chosen a different ribbon if I was in my craft room (I do have other ribbons !!! Lol)
The one on the left is Berry Burst card stock and ink, the right, Bermuda Bay card stock and ink.   I added some Crystal Effects to the centers of the flowers. (Stampin' Up! doesn't sell that anymore, but the the Fine Tip glue works just as well).   Stamping the Bermuda Bay card first, the flowers are further apart, then overlapped the flowers in the Berry Burst card.    I like the look of the flowers overlapping.   What about you?   Overlapped?   or  Not???   Leave me a comment and I will randomly draw a "winner", you'll receive 2 of your favorite, overlapping or not cards, one a Sympathy and one a Birthday!

My Upcoming classes:

FL  August 17th, 10 am, Casa Loma Estates, Melbourne, Florida

MD  - August 27th, 1pm, Finksburg Belisimos, Finksburg, MD

Contact me in a comment below or email sbjcarol@yahoo.com to register for either of these classes.  Cost for the class is $10 for 3 cards and a treat holder.

Last month I attended a meeting with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and participated in a card swap...one of the swaps used this stamp set and of course I had to get it!   It's on page 159 of the new catalog...check it out!  I decided to save 10% and get the bundle with the crate framelit.   The cost of the Bundle is $54 for wood mount and $46.75 for clear mount.   During the month of July, purchase the wood mount Bundle for $54 and receive a coupon for $5 OFF an order in August.  Purchase the clear mount set and a chalk marker or basic black Stampin write marker or another item that is $3.25 or more and you get that $5 off coupon for August.  Also, anyone placing an order for $50 (before shipping and tax) from me will receive a package of the new Mini Dimensionals.   To place an order, go to my website or contact me to place your order.  Use Hostess Code:  RFQHN3FV for an additional gift from me.

Today was my class held in Florida and the card was a Big Hit with everyone.  I CASED the swap card exactly except for the greeting.

I just LOVE this card and of course the Lemon Lime Twist color...   It an easy card to make and you can emboss the card or just heat set the white ink.

Paper Pumpkin Stamping With Rachel

Today crafting with Rachel.      We combined 2 paper pumpkins one from October with the test tubes. We weren't able to finish them for Halloween, so we combined those test tubes, some mini jelly beans and the stamps and ears from the March kit!    Rachel is 5 and did all the stamping and putting the glue dots on to hold the faces onto the tubes.   Her favorites are dimensionals (mine too) but we didn't need those for this project.

Hope you find some time to craft today.    This trip to Maryland has been a busy one, lots of peaks and valleys...father in law recovering from injuries from a fall from a ladder.....my youngest grandchild, Emma hospitalized for dehydration from results of the virus (back to normal now). And my mother in law fell and broke her hip and had surgery last night!    On the mend was even sitting in a chair today !!!

We return on Monday to warm and sunny Florida!  Sale a Bration is over 😧 I hope you were able to take advantage of all the great bargains.   I was able to get most of the sale a Bration items and used them all....I can't use them in going forward in my business, so I have decided to part with them.....Here are the details:

For every $50 in order you place your name will go in for a drawing to receive your choice.   Depending on how many SAB items i have (will check when I get home), and how many different people order.

PLace those orders thru me or my website using Hostess Code CK3S96PN.

Stay tuned for information on my April classes.  Tentative dates....April 13th for Florida and April 23rd for Maryland.    Here's one of the cards from my March class

Masculine birthday card

while visiting in Maryland I am so busy with children, grandchildren, meeting with friends, stamping.   But I can't seem to find time to blog or post on Facebook.

Today helping a friend/downline make a birthday card, she ended up with making 5 of them.... We are making a mess stamping, we are might as well make a bunch.   We used all of the DSP she had of this pattern.

We went right to Pinterest and searched for about 10 seconds and found the card we wanted to make. She used the stamp set Another Great Year (retired).   Night of Navy card stock and ink and Candy Dots....and of course dimensionals!

These are quick cards for mass production.   Switch out the stamp set, the colors, candy dots , rhinestones, pearls or whatever embellishments.

Dragonfly Dreams Stampin' Up! Emboss Resist

WOW another post - Yep I have been stamping almost everyday.   How about you?   It is a fun pastime and very relaxing.

Today I did FaceTime with a longtime friend (52 years!) stamper and customer.   We now live 1000 miles apart and since it is winter....I am staying put in Sunny/Warm Florida.  I miss stamping with my friends, and of course I miss my daughters and grandchildren....  Getting ready for a visit from one daughter and two grandchildren!   but today, I got some stamping done.

Emboss Resist is my Favorite technique of all time!   What is your favorite technique?

Today, my friend Joyce and I did FaceTime and we each made a Sketch Challenge card.   We used Paper and Ink Challenges #11.

I used Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, Oh So Succulent stamp, and Heartfelt Sympathy stamp sets.  I also used Falling in Love Designer Series Paper, Dimensionals, Stitched Framelits, Layering Oval Framelits.   The colors used are the ones in the Designer Series Paper -- Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to pick colors to go with one another.   The colors are Blushing Bride Cardstock and ink, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand inks.  AND of course a sponge wedge for each color ink  that I used.

Stampin' with Stampin' Up! Stamps and past class card kits

A fun day of Stampin' with Mom and Adela.   I had many card kits leftover from classes, so we CASEd them using some of the same stamps, others using different stamps.

What a fun and productive day

When you are trying to figure out what kind of card to make...sometimes the best way is to take some card parts you have from another creating and pick a stamp and start stamping....

Give it a try!

Sealed with Love by Stampin' Up!

This month my stamp set of the month was Sealed with Love, those that purchased this set received the 3 cards, if they purchased the bundle, they received the candy Valentine holder too (fun size M&Ms).     Next month stamp set of the month and/or bundle is the Dragonfly Dreams set.  You must order it thru my website using the Hostess Code RD2UZURG.   You can order anytime from now thru February 15th.   You will get 3 completed cards, order the bundle and receive a 3D project too.   Have this stamp set already??? Need more information ??? Contact me via email, sbjcarol@yahoo.com, leave a comment here or go to my website and order

Today I am working on a birthday card for my son in law and I want to get it in the mail today!

I looked through my box of card kits, these are kits left over from my clubs or classes, and I found one to make.

Do you have any card kits sitting around in a box at home?   Take them out and see what you can make.   Here is the original card on the left....on the right is the card I made today...  It uses the Traveler Stamp set - a great set for masculine, teen cards.  I also used an old stamp set, World Map.

Tomorrow I plan on taking some other card kits and creating different cards with them.   Give it a try!
