I have been carrying a post it note holder I found in my craft room.   I probably made it 10 years ago.

So for April's class we are making an updated version.   Here is my old one.   I have been using it often since I found it about a week ago.

Here is the one we are making in class. I used Emerald Envy card stock and ink,  Peekaboo Peach ribbon, card stock and ink and whisper white card stock and the Everyday Label Punch.

Here is the one I made on my Facebook business page, Stampin with stampergirl on Wednesday, check out the video too how I made it there.    Stampin with stampergirl

I used Flirty Flamingo card stock, ink and striped ribbon, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White card stocks too.  This time I used the Tailored TAg Punch that is in the Occasions catalog in the True Gentlemen Suite....I have used this punch many times, but none for guy cards.....yet.

Countdown to end of Sale a bration with Pandas!!!

There are only a few more days to take advantage of Sale a bration....  Nine, yes just 9 more days!

Today I am showing some cards I made with the Panda set - which I didn't want!!!!   I just wasn't excited about that set.....that is until I started seeing so many cute projects made with it.....so I ordered it and when it arrived, it was in French!   Even though this set is one for free, I really wanted it in English and had some plans to use it for my husband for our Anniversary February 14th.   So, I put it in an envelope and sent it back and got an English version.

I used it to make this card and this treat holder for our Anniversary.   I made my husband 25 cards and treats for our 25th Anniversary.  This treat holder is really tiny....It held a mint hard candy!

This is one of the cards I made him using this Panda set

I had my Stamparatus and wanted to try it out.....So I used this set again to make a Thank You card for my nephew.    This is the card I made for my nephew who brought my computer "up to speed"   It was so slow...

Aligning up the Thank You's straight was SO simple with this tool....really another item "I didn't want or need"  or so I thought til I got one!

Here is another Panda card I made with the same color theme.... Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist.   I made 25 of these and sent them out to customers and friends back in Maryland who I have not seen in a few months.   I really miss them....and my daughters and grandchildren !!!!!!

I shoulda coulda used the Stamparatus for this card, but I didn't....   I thought about it the other night when I did a Facebook live video over at Stampin with Stampergirl. - check it out...    With the 2 plates to mount stamps on and 2 sides of each plate, I could of made these is probably half the time that it took me.

Live and Learn.    The Panda set is only going to be avaible to get for FREE for 9 more days.

So head on over to my website, place an order for $50 or more and you can choose the Panda Set for FREE.   or check out all the other FREEBIES you could choose from.    When you place your order, use the Hostess Code:  4FNXM3NE to get in the drawing for Hostess Freebies that I give away each month....but you gotta use the Hostess code.

A double open card

I loved this card   If I can figure out how to do a GIF, I will and share how it opens!

A short post today since I am on the run today.....Visit my Mom and Adela

Church to stock the children's Sunday School classrooms.

This card opens up by pulling outward the inner layer of the Berry Burst card stock.     The base was made with Berry Burst card stock and for the moving part too.  There is a layer of Lemon Lime Twist card stock and then the Picture Perfect DSP on the card.   The greeting is from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set using Lemon Lime Twist ink.   I added 2 ribbons next to the greeting to give it a little sparkle.   The ribbons is the Lemon Lime Twist striped and the Berry Burst Silver edged ribbons.

When I figure out how to make a GIF, I will show just how cute this card is!!!!

Sorry for the short post earlier today and was glad I could add this description to this post.

Brusho and Facebook live

I opened my Brusho and tried it for the first time on Facebook live  It was going so well....Well that is until I found out the audio portion was not working!!!!  Here are the cards I made with the papers I used the Brusho on.

It was quick and easy,  the longest part was letting it dry.  You can also heat set it, which I did a little bit after the video.  Then the papers were curled so I set them under three acrylic blocks for the night and they were almost completely flat come morning.

I used the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Swirly Bird stamp sets with versamark ink and white embossing powder.   Then came the Brusho and water - Prussion Blue and yellow.   I loved how they turned out.  I die cut the Butterfly using the yellow and Gamboge powders and the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

The fourth piece I haven't done anything with yet.  What should I do?   I might cut out some dragonflies, or butterflies or maybe some flowers.   What do you think?

It was really a lot of fun, getting messy.   The mess was kept at a minimum.    You can go to my Facebook Business Page, Stampin with stampergirl;  and check out the video....of course there is no sound, maybe til the end.!

If you have these Brusho colors and haven't opened them, like me just waiting....Get them out and play.   Make sure you have some paper down to protect your workspace.   Make sure you have a paper towel or two to help with excess water.   And Get Creative!

Scrapbooking traditional, and Memories and More style

I haven't done scrapbooking for years, but that is going to change..

I founds some ladies who want to do some scrapbooking and truth be told.....I have a lot to do.    I am in the process of transferring some memories from my first trip to Disney with my girls.  Now they are married with children of their own.

This first page is from our Memories and More style of scrapbooking or memory keeping.   The 6 x 8 photo pocket pages have divided areas you add your photos or papers, embellishments, memorabilia to each section and you are done.   Turn it over and put another set on the other side, or leave blank.

This next page is the same style of memory keeping, just a larger page, 12 x 12

Here is a 2 page spread, traditional style.   12 x 12 paper.   places for photos and journaling  Just need page protectors and your done.   This layout is so versatile and could be for any occasion, trip or memories.

If you have stayed with me to the end of this post, this maybe your lucky day.   The first person who I can hand deliver these to who comments on this post will get these.   The rule is you must comment here and as long as you can meet me either in Palm Bay, Florida area or Baltimore, Maryland area.  You win!

I hope these inspire you to get those photos out of the boxes and into albums!

Petal Palette

Petal Palette is such a great Suite of products in the Occasions catalog.   I have used some of the flowers on projects and cards.   This suite has stamps, framelits and DSP and I have used them all.   This card, I used inks and markers directly onto stamps then stamped them onto the card stock, changing colors.   I used washi tape to block off the area of the greeting.    I mounted the stamped panel with dimensionals onto a white panel that was embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and onto a Pool Party card.   I added the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon after putting the card together, in between the dimensionals.

I am waiting on Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.  I don't know how I missed this in the first few hundred times I looked through the Occasions Catalog!!!  A HUGE BARGAIN!  $10 - gets you 72 double sided cards, 52 are sized 3x4 and 20 are 4x6 along with 2 accent sheets, 2 cardstock sticker sheets and 2 acetate card overlays with white print.   I wonder how many cards can be made with just this one card pack, I am sure more than 72!   Memory pages!

This pack is on backorder, but can still be ordered.   I don't know if these will be in the next catalog, but if you order these while on backorder, you will get them when they arrive in the warehouse.   After the retired List comes out sometime early next month, if they are on the Retired List, I am sure they will sell out fast!    Check out Pinterest for these card packs, there are so many gorgeous cards and projects made with these.

Want to order yours?   Go to my website and order them, the item number is 145952.   Use Hostess Code 4FNXM3NE, this will get your name entered for the Hostess Rewards.   Order $50 or more and get a FREE Sale a bration item-your choice from all the offerings in the Sale a bration brochures.  Also with a $50 order, you will get an easel calendar from me....in your favorite color!

Hope you get a chance to get creative today.

My cards from my class in January

This post got lost somewhere along the way.....So I am at least sharing the photos of our class in January...The first card is the most chosen free stamp in Sale a bration, at least with my customers.

This first card is a Sympathy card - we all need them and this is so quick and easy, and in any color.  Make a few in different colors to have on hand when you need one.   It uses the Heartfelt Blooms that is a Free stamp set during Sale a bration for a $50 order.

The 2nd is a Ghirardelli candy holder -   The first time I made it was probably 8-10 years ago.  I have made it several times using the word window punch.  BUT now the Classic Label punch works even better to hold a Ghirardelli candy.

The 3rd project is a masculine Valentine card, Anniversary card, or just Love you card.   I CASEd from Pinterest of course.

This last card uses this amazing items from the Painted with Love Suite on pages 18-19 of the Occasions catalog.   Don't you Love this designer series paper?   It is so much more in person.  I used the dies and stamps from the Sure do Love you set and framelits.  The lined heart framelit is from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits in the Annual catalog.

Here are all the projects together.

Hope these cards inspire you to share the love!!!!

Guest Stamper Joyce Clark

I want to encourage my stampin' friends and customers to get creative, have fun make a card or more and brighten someone's day.   A friend, well we have been friends for over 50 years....and avid stamper was searching Pinterest for ideas for a 1 year old birthday card.   She saw two she liked and asked my opinion.   I liked them both, but since it is for her great niece, I said whatever you choose, make the colors something pink.   That is what she did  and I think it turned out great!   Don't you?

I encourage you to get creative, email me your creations and I will post them here on my blog.  She received the Panda set FREE with the purchase of $50 in Stampin' goodies before shipping and tax.   You can choose that set too, or many other great items.   I have that set and only used it once for my husband's Valentines cards.    SO, she has inspired me to pull that set out and get creating.

Joyce's card uses Sweet Sugarplum card stock and the glitter paper from last year's Sale a bration is Sweet Sugarplum and the ink and hearts are too.

Markers and Washi Tape

I did a Facebook live video over on my Facebook Business Page - Stampin with stampergirl - I shared a  few things about products that Stampin' Up! carries:   the first is washi tape -  did you know you can use washi tape to decorate a card?  You can also use it to mask an area  on a stamp you do not want ink on.   Simply put the washi tape on the stamp you do not want inked, then ink your stamp and then remove the washi tape and stamp your image onto card stock.  Another way to use washi tape is to mark your items when sharing them with others,  The 2nd thing I shared was Black inks,  did you know Stampin' Up! carries two black inks inks?   Basic black archival ink is used when you are using something with water.... regular markers, the  aqua painter or blender pens.  Memento black ink is used with alcohol markers, like our Stampin' Blends and used in any stamping. The 3rd thing I shared was our Marvelous markers.  You can use them to color in the stamped image, like the flower image on the left at the bottom.  You can also color directly onto your stamps.   When you have a stamp that needs several colors on it, like a flower or tree or any stamp, you color onto the stamp with the markers and then breathe onto it and stamp onto your card stock.  The flower on the left sample at the top is colored with markers and stamped.

I hope that these tips help you in your creating.

Rainbow card for Loss of a Pet

A Good friend and fellow demonstrator lost her cat this past week and you know the pets are our family.  It was her child I wanted to send her a card but did not have any cats stamp sets any verses so what happens when you don't know what to use?  Pinterest to the rescue I found a poem and typed it in word on my computer and printed it out on whisper white card stock and stamped it with the Swoosh from The Number of Years stamp set in different colors of the rainbow.  The paws are from an old stamp I have had  probably for 20 years.

What do you search Pinterest for?   Card ideas, stamp sets, recipes- YUM.   It has been a great resource for me, mainly for card ideas, verses and making gifts and items for themed events.

Speaking of Pinterest!  Every week, at least once, I receive a email from Pinterest that someone has liked my Pin.   Most of the time it has been the same Pin at least since I first pinned it.  SO anyone who places an order this month is going to get that item that is my #1 Pin.   It's made out of paper, that is all I'm sayin'!!!

Want to order the Number of Years stamp set?   Or any order, hop on over to my website and place your order...Don't forget to use the Hostess Code:   4FNXM3NE   The Hostess Code and this offer is only good til March 31st.   Using the Hostess Code gets you in the drawing for FREEBIES - new items from the catalogs.

I hope you have time to get stampin' today!

Sympathy cards.....

Sympathy cards!  We  all need them but we usually don't have them when we do need  them.  I needed a sympathy card last week so I made one.  This week I needed  another sympathy card so I took my own advice and made two.  You have to cut the card stock in half to begin with so you might as well make the second card.  It's a lot easier when you have all the stamps, inks and tools sitting out to make the one card, to go ahead and make the second card.   One messy desk + two cards = happiness!

I searched Pinterest for a minute and CASEd a card from Connie Babbert.   I used a different flower stamp and used some of these clear epoxy shapes that are in the Occasions catalog.   Did you see those or did you miss them?  They are on page 33 and you get 176 for $7 !!!   A  great deal in my book and I think the way I took the picture you can see the these "little dew drops" on the flowers.

The flower is from the Sale a Bration FREE with a $50 purchase.   The set is Amazing You and has a coordinating thinlits set that you can get for FREE with a $100 purchase.  The thinlits will be available in the new upcoming catalog that comes out in June, but not the stamp set.   The stamp set is just available til March 31st!

Monday's Minute Tip - In just 87 days the New Annual Catalog will be out! We don't know all the things that are going to retired, but what we do know is this: The 2016-2018 In Colors will be retiring and that includes card stock, inks, DSP with those colors, ribbons, embellishments....anything with those colors. What you need to do now is purchase any of those that you need/want because they will sell out in hrs when the Retiring List comes out sometime in April. Don't delay, Order yours TODAY!
Go over to my website, http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampergirl/
or contact me to place your order.
Don't forget to use the Hostess Code: 4FNXM3NE to get your name in for a drawing for the Hostess Rewards.

AND here is a card I made in about a minute..... OK about 3 minutes using Flirty Flamingo ink, marker and card stock. I used the marker to color on the rubber stamp the colors I needed and then stamped on white card stock. I repeated the coloring again for the 2nd flower. I used the Flirty Flamingo ink pad, squeezed the case of the pad to get ink on the lid and used Aqua painter and that ink to color in the flowers. I added some of those cute epoxy stickers (dew drops) on the front of the card. It really was fast.
Enjoy and Be Creative Today

I hope this inspires you to make 2 cards the next time you get creating to make a card.
