Eden’s Garden for Customer Thank You Cards this month

Eden’s Garden is a new suite that will be available to purchase in November.   Demonstrators get to purchase it in October and get to play with it.  And I did purchase it and started stamping with it, but life got in the way.

Here are some photos of cards I have made  - this first one is my Thank Yous for November customers who ordered.    I decided to put the “Thinking of You” on the front.   Actually CASEd this card from a card using other techniques and stamps, just the placement of a flower in the corners….

This card I CASEd from Dawns Stamping. Thoughts, just the fun fold.  The die cut is from the dies and the DSP I used is available for purchase while supplies last!  And I think November 30th is the last day for the DSP.  Want to get the suite or just the stamp set or the bundle or the DSP, just go to my store, www.stampergirl.stampinup.net.

These cards are small cards I made using scraps of cardstock.   Trying out different colors.   I carry these in a holder in my purse.   I hand them out when I get great service at a restaurant and out the tip inside…I have handed these out to people working in stores, flight attendants and others who just do something nice.   And the one with the chocolate was give them to someone as a little thank you.

Here are the holders these cards are in. The Extra gum pack is just to the right and the smaller one below is from a pa k of QTips I purchased at Walmart!   I just made the cards to fit the holders.    They stay nice in my purse, protected.

I sure hope I can get better at posting!   AND updating this blog.   HELP!!!!!  I just changed the heading, don't even know how I did that!   and will have to figure out how to make it easier to post. and get some of my links on here, the catalogs and more!

Wow 10 months since last post!!!!!   Well I sure hope I can change this ……beginning today!

Here is my thank you cards that I sent out to customers and team members alike for September.  I used the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set and coordinating dies.   This is in the July-December Catalog, or as I like to say, Holiday Catalog.   It’s on page 45 and you can get just the stamp set, or the dies, but of course you really need both!

I left the greeting off and didn’t stamp a verse inside either…. I wrote on a post it note a message and this way they can recycle the card.   Of course I stamped a matching envelope!   You can’t send a naked envelope, can you?

Hope you have a great week and are able to share your creations with someone.   You just might make their day.

Note:   I restarted this blog post last week, before I could finish and post it, my Mom had a stroke and has been in hospital for almost a week.   She’ll be 94 on Saturday and is really doing well and heading to a rehab center later today.   So even though I intended on restart posting regularly, it maybe be more sporadic that I had planned.

Gnomes for Christmas. And Hanukkah too!

Yes, I was inspired by a menorah I saw in Home Goods a month or so ago......so I started planning a card for my Jewish friends.....  I was contacted byStephanie of thecraftymedic.com to join a group of demonstrators with a challenge to make a Hanukkah card using only current Stampin Up Products.   I love all the ideas everyone came up with.

Here is my creation:

Here is the link for the blog hop- some great projects!!!  check them out!   I hope the link works as I haven't joined a blog hop before.

SO the blog hop show up before this post and I am not sure how to fix it.    So I hope you will hop onto those other blogs.

Hey, friend

I know, way too long between posts.....

I am IN SEARCH OF tech help!    I need a tutor for the following:   You Tube - not on how to do a video, but how to set up a channel, more than one channel.  Changing channel from personal to a business.   I have watched numerous You Tube videos how, but halfway through the steps, what they show on the screen doesn’t appear on my screen.    iPhone/iPad photo tutor:    I also need a few tips on taking better photos of my projects using my iPhone or iPad.    I am sure either of these would not take much time, but I have spent too many hours searching and not getting anywhere.   Willing to pay with Stampin’ Up! Merchandise or cash.    Contact me if you can help.  If I get those 2 items taken care of, I would love to be able to post to this blog more often!

In the meantime, sharing one of creations using the upcoming Dragonfly Garden set and items from the suite in the Mini catalog that starts in January.  I used the Sketch #462 from Freshly Made Sketches Blog https://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/ for inspiration.

Hope you are inspired today to create something to share with someone else -  Spreading Joy!

Scrappy Strips Card

SO---- It has been a very long time since my last post and I am not even going to try and figure out why!

Starting Fresh TODAY.

Here is a pretty easy card to make, not much supplies and super easy to create.   You just need some scraps of cardstock and you can choose which colors to use, depending on who you are sending it to.  I CASED this card from the Famous Bruno Bertucci - husband of also famous, Kylie Bertucci.   It is fun and it goes together quickly.    I made several -   These two using a black card base and a white card base.

This one I made for my grandson - His favorite color is blue, so I just used blues a white layer and Blueberry Bushel card base.   The boy and guitar are from a long ago retired set called Skating By.

This last one I added the daisy flower from the upcoming Set Ornate Style that is part of a Suite of Stamp sets, Coordinating Dies, embellishments and DSP.   I fussy cut the daisy out as there are no dies for that.

Which one is your Favorite?

Highlights and Lowlights from Embossing Paste Class

Actually this class was a lot of fun!   AND not too messy either with 4 stampers

I had ordered some embossing paste over a year ago and never used it!   I hope I am not alone in purchasing items and not using them right away or ever.

Fast Forward to OnStage Atlanta -   I received a Swap card from a gal that was sitting at the same table, also from Florida.   I decided I was going to make that card for a card class.   Well I did make it but I did not use the embossing paste.   I hold my classes in a church hall and didn't want to be responsible for any messes.    However, I did pull out my embossing paste, masks (stencils) and the palette tools and just started to play.  I made a decent size mess and the end result was ok, but went in to the trashcan.  About a week later, I decided to try again.   This time I got a plastic placemat from the Dollar Tree, used some Washi tape to tape down my mask and cardstock and tried again.   It turned out great and I made the card front into a card and sent it off to someone for their birthday.

I decided to hold a class in my house and limit the number of people to attend making it easier to contain any mess.   There really wasn't any mess and everyone enjoyed playing with the paste and made a few cards and some cardfronts using various reinkers to color the paste.

Here are the cards we made and the cardfronts I
made.
