Best of......stamp sets

This year is Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary!!!  To Celebrate, Stampin' Up! has started releasing the Best of Stamp Sets. They are a collection of stamps from the past, while they are the same images, sometimes they are not the same size as when they were released years prior.    One new set each month til March 2014, each set is Clear mount only and each set sells for $14.95.   You can purchase these sets from now thru March 2014 even though a new Best of ......set will be launched each month.  When you purchase your first Best of set, you will receive a collector's card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of.... set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95!  Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014. 

Since I have just learned how to put these pictures of the sets on my blog, thanks to my upline Carol Taggart.....and over the phone.


I am a few months late in posting these pictures of the sets, but I will post these sets over the next few hrs....sorry about all these posts so close together, I have been working on these posts for weeks!

New Wood-Mount Cases

Stampin' Up! has come out with new cases for wood mount stamp sets,   They are made like the clearmount stamp cases and will have the stamp index of stamps on the front and spine.   Oh this is one change I am going to LOVE.   I love wood mount stamps and only changed to mostly clear mount when S/Up came out with their clear mount stamps.   I still purchase some sets in wood, because I want to pick up a stamp and use it, not hunt for a block, make sure I it's aligned, etc.

Color Refresh

I have not been able to put some of the new things that Stampin' Up! has happenin' now.   So I am trying something.....

Well I think I did it!!! Woo Hoo!  Just wish it was larger.    That will have to be my next learning class.

I was sad about Baja Breeze (you probably heard me crying last week) I am over it now, I will still miss some colors but I am learning to anticipate the new and different.  I can't wait for the new In Colors (which I saw at Baltimore Regionals) and I think they are beautiful!

Stampin' Up! Baltimore Regional

WOW! yesterday was a Blast! and TODAY was the whipped cream on the top of this Sunday and Weekend!! 

A Fantastic Weekend - Yesterday at the Stampin' Up! Regional Convention in Baltimore. SO much positive energy in the place with 800+ demonstrators, Shelli and Sterling Gardner, Carrie Cudney, Holly Linford, Brian Pilling, Shannon West and all the helpers IT WAS THE BEST!!!  the donations to the RMDH of Baltimore - these donations filled my Honda CRV!  It took 4 of us to carry down all the containers to the entrance of the Convention Center and 2 cart loads from my vehicle inside the RMDH.  Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are Fantastic!  Many items on their Wish List, $$$ in gift cards and hand stamped cards and envelopes, card stock and even postage stamps!!

Sandy at RMDH - Baltimore had no idea when I told her I was going to bring donations, just how much I was really going to bring!  The women were SO Grateful to receive these donations and overjoyed.

Today was the RMDH of Baltimore Red Shoe Shuffle 5k and my daughter, Robyn and I participated even ran (between the crosswalks), they raised $260K and were able to purchase a new Shuttle Van.

Stampin' with the Girl Scouts

Last night I went Stampin' with the Girl Scouts,  GSCM Troop 388 Community 65, they meet at St. Joseph's Catholic Community in Eldersburg and their Troop Leader is Kimberly Altobelli.   Kimberly and I work together at Northwest Hospital.
       

The girls made Mother's Day cards for their Moms and the Moms made cards for the Troops.  It was a lot of fun watching the girls get excited about the colors, the stamps and the punches....and they did a Great Job.

Easter Treat

 

I have been clearing out some excess crafting items from my craft room (Winfield Elementary School is loving the donations!).  I found these Test Tubes that I purchased and have never used!!! Do you have any of those things in your craft closet, room!!??  I had received a SWAP at Convention a couple of years ago using a test tube and saved the design, but ate the candy out of the test tube!!!  SO I just used that SWAP as a guide for this Easter Treat and let each of my club members who came last week to make one. 

 

The one on the left uses the duck from the Cherished Friendship stamp set - you know the one with a bowl of cherries in the set!  I had to have that set and never have used it! til now.  and the bunny in the pot is from a retired set, The Nicest Things, another set unused til now. 

 

I started putting a post it note in the stamp set boxes with the date I have used the set or on the front cover of the clear mount sets.   This is making me aware of sets I need to use and not
"hoard" and I am using them.   Try it for a couple of weeks and see what sets your post it notes are on, then pick a set that you haven't used and USE IT!
