Yesterday a fellow demonstrator and I held a fundraiser for Autism....we were really a part of a larger group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators holding these events. We had a great time, everyone liked the cards we designed...ummmm. CASEd from various places on the internet. Rachel Miller really went above and beyond putting this together. and we raised $630 for the Scott Center for the Treatment of Autism right here in Melbourne, Florida.
Since I carried my camera to the event, left it in one of my many tote bags......I am awaiting some pictures that she took. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to post them.
We also have a huge box of food to take to the 2nd Harvest food bank of Melbourne too. Going to deliver both tomorrow, and I sure hope I remember to take some pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I went to my brother's house after church and did some crafting with his granddaughter, Bella. We had a good time she created 7 cards and I made 4. It was a lot of fun and I taught her her masking, which she mastered quite well as well as achieving 2 shades of the same color by stamping off first.
Here is a picture of Bella and her creations.
This is why I do what I do.....She kept telling me, this is fun!!! and just think how much the people she sends/gives the cards to will feel the love!!!
Bella you were a fantastic student......After your Paper Pumpkin arrives, I'll be over to stamp then.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Autism event, the various local companies that donated Raffle items, purchased the card kits. Again, it was Awesome!
