We saw this video at the Convention. Just one of the many ways a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is Making a Difference.
It's a few minutes long, of course I had to have tissues to finish watching it. It shows how one demonstrator makes a difference. There are plenty of ways to make a difference doing something you love....Like Stamping....

In a few weeks, I will be holding an event at my house that will be Making a Difference for those staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore. Stay tuned for the Date and Details.....
Here are 2 of my swap cards that I took to convention:
This first one I CASEd a card from Connie Babbert, I changed some elements but kept to the lines of the sketch she had done and even the color combination too. I finally found her at convention and gave her one of my swaps.
This is a 3x3 card that I made, along with my husband. I made the design and stamped and put together 80+ of these for an organized swap. My husband cut all the crabs out using my paper snips....He commented during some of the cutting, these scissors are awesome! I said, of course they are, I only use them for paper. and they work like a charm all the time.
Be the Difference, by Making a Difference.....
ENJOY!

Convention Goodies
Convention was a Blast and I keep thinking of how much fun I had. My grandson, Jacob asked me yesterday what I was going to do for my birthday. I said, I feel like I have been celebrating my birthday for a week now. SO MUCH GOOD STUFF.
I put all my goodies I received at Convention in a pile and I am sure I still missed a few items....But here is the picture.
The convention bag is awesome.....I put my laptop in there, power cord, mouse, catalog and Holiday catalog a couple clear mount stamp sets, some clear blocks and it still had room!
I didn't use it til I got home, and coated it twice with a sealant, to help protect it from me! as a friend of mine used to say....."Messy Marvin"!!!
I have a picture of a swap from Connie's Get Together at Convention. I have so many more to share, but they will have to wait a few days.

Stampin' Up! Convention updates
Today was AWESOME!!! Stampin' Up! shared new products!!!! New framelits to make swing cards, and shapes too. A new product called undefined where you purchase a kit to make your own stamps. An envelope punch board to make awesome envelopes in a flash with DSP or cardstock or any papers. We all got to make a stamp and I will share a picture of that tomorrow.
Today I wanted to share a few pictures of Convention Happenings.
Look who came to Convention, YEP Ronald McDonald himself. Stampin' Up! has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities for 10 years now, donating more than $1 million !!!Each year they design a stamp set where $3 from the sale of each set goes to RMDH Charities. In addition, demonstrators like myself go to local houses and volunteer. I go to the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore each month and stamp with the guests who are staying there. Contact me if you would like to join me or donate supplies to the house.
Here I am with my friend, Michelle Deslandes from Vermont, she is so much fun to be around and our birthdays are a day apart. Happy Early Birthday Michelle, I wish you lots of love on your birthday...
Here I am with one of the ladies who was serving yummy cupcakes!!!, her dress is actually the table!!!
There was an 80s band playing and we were dancing and these guys came over and danced with us, such good sports. Here is Lynn Peters, Sondra Jumper and myself.

Convention in full swing...
Convention is in full swing now, yesterday we were treated to our convention bags, filled with stamp sets and card kits, then another stamp set.......... Some prize patrol, meeting all the employees at Stampin' Up! Were there to greet us. Presentations by Pam Morgan, nada group of fellow demonstrators. We Made a Difference (the theme of convention and really the company, Stampin' Up!). making kits for a children's hospital in SLC, and cards for RMDH in SLC too. We broke a Guinness record of the most cards sent from one place! Almost 3000, even though there were more cards sent, in the time frame allowed that was how many were sent.
Here is our bag and the contents.
One of my favorite things about Convention is meeting new friends from all over the world.
Here is a new friend from Australia, Brenda Fry, what an amazing woman....

Some convention swaps
Our first full day in Salt Lake City....a full day!
This morning one of the gals we met at Leadership a few years ago, came over to spend the day. We had a lovely breakfast at the Blue Lemon. Then onto Walmart for some items we couldn't bring with us, but needed. Ate our leftovers from yesterday for lunch/dinner and then to meet with Connie Heisey and other Proverbial stampers for some swapping, make and takes and meeting some new stamping friends. Tonight we met up with Michele Deslandes who we met at Leadership in Nashville a few years ago and a whole bunch of friends, some we have met before and a lot of new friends. It was a great time, sharing swapping, eating, and talking. here is a swap I received from Jackie Bultje...beautiful!
Well, it is just about 1am here in Salt Lake City , my usual bedtime back home, so I will save some more pictures for tomorrow.
ENJOY!

Convention Swaps.....How DO I do it?????
Usually I wait until the last minute.....I know I am not alone, anyone out there stamping the night away making swaps for convention???? Almost every year I join a 3x3 card swap, and this year is no exception, I need to make 80 total. I designed my card (yes no CASEing!) I do copy cards from Splitcoast Stampers, Stampin' Connection (a demo perk, thousands of samples), Pinterest and browsing magazines, the card racks at the store....anyway, my 3x3 cards are halfway completed. My husband is busy cutting out the crab from the By the seashore set and has about 30 more to cut out. The rest of the card is stamped, all the cardstock cut, ribbon cut and partially assembled, thanks to my Wednesday Night Stampers, Sue, Maria, Jean, Bert and Linda. SO, this morning I decided to make a regular card size swap and I want to make about 50 of these. I went on Splitcoast and checked out some of the new stamp sets I got and I couldn't come up with anything I wanted to use, so I checked some of the challenge galleries on splitcoast and found a card that I CASEd. I have changed the stamp set, the color papers and embellishments, I will post the card after convention and give credit to the originator. Here is my table today, I guess we are going out for dinner! No space to sit and eat.....hehehe
Anyone want to come over and play?
Everyone Have a Save and Happy 4th of July!
Keep our Troops in your prayers
Enjoy!

3 x 3 Swap Cards for Convention
The Stampin' Up! Convention is fast approaching. In just a little over 2 weeks I will be headed to Salt Lake City for this special 25th Anniversary Convention! The past few years I have joined a 3x3 card Swap, it is a highlight for me. This year the total swap cards I need to make is 80. I thought about my card I wanted to make and choose By the Seashore and By the Tide as my sets to use. I have cut all the layers of card stock, stamped everything and am in the process of coloring the crab image using a blender pen and reinker. I showed my husband the sample card to get his opinion and he said he liked it...I said, "well now I need to cut 80 of those crabs out" and he responded, "I'll cut some out, I need to do something while watching the Orioles baseball. Tonight, I came home from work and he was already cutting crabs out.
Here he is hard at work....Have you seen how tiny and intricate this crab image is? He is a close up of the ones he had finished.
Even after cutting a dozen or so of these little guys, my husband could still smile and cut out even more.
SO, if you are a demo that is participating in this 3x3 swap, these crabs were cut out by my husband and not me. He cut these out perfectly!!! Thanks Hon! Love You, ME.
