Awash With Flowers

This is one of the cards my club members made this month. The flower images were from the sneak preview stamp set, Awash with Flowers, this is available for purchase until April 30th and then not again til the new catalog in July. There are so many whimsical flowers in this 2 step stamp set.  I used some soon to be retiring colors, Lovely lilac and lavendar lace.   ENJOY!

AND, the Occasions Mini catalog ends on April 30th too.    Don't miss out on the great stamp sets and accessories in this mini catalog.   Contact me to place your order.

Seems like a lot of blogs I visit offer blog candy....So, I have decided to offer some blog candy....
Posted by Picasa

The stamp set is from last year's Sale a bration, as well as the celery ribbon.   SO, to get in the drawing for this blog candy, just leave a comment and on Friday, I will do a random drawing for the winner.  If you know where I am in my picture, leave that in your comment and receive another bonus if your name is drawn.

Thanks for stopping by.

Color Renovation

Stampin’ Up! is having a Color Renovation…….Below is a sample of the NEW Color Groups…… I know I have been ready for some color changes…I just wasn’t planning on all these. After my initial shock wore off, only a few minutes… I am loving the change. Still sad about some of the colors leaving….Green Galore! GASP!

But, check it out!!!! Baja Breeze, Riding Hood red, Tangerine Tango, all coming back!!! As well as some other older in colors.

They will be keeping the Confetti and natural cardstocks, these are great for watercoloring!!!

And here is a chart of the Colors that are retiring…. Colors you love and will keep around and keep using (like me), make sure you have all you want by June. They will be gone by July 1st.

I belong to a Yahoo Group for demonstrators, but they also have one for stampers.....It is called Late Night Stampers....HELLO!!  How late night stamping do you have to be.....Not like me, you can stamp in the day...but I knew I had to be a part of that group...late night is my time....ANYHOW.   If I have peaked your intrest.....Go and take a look.   Here is the link   Sherrill is the like the Den Mother and is the leading force for the group.   The group has lots of inspiration and friendships.

Happy Easter Everyone

Getting ready to go to Good Friday Services and decided to show some pictures of the cards I sent for Easter.   I wish I could have sent more.....

This first one, is just plain cute.    I have had this set on my wish list for a couple of years now and still don't own it.   One of my club members, Heather owns it and graciously loaned it to me last weekend.   My daughter, Aimee and grandsons were visiting for the weekend and Colin and Jacob played with legos while Aimee and I spent some time together stamping.   Lots of fun.and easy...The hard part is allowing the crystal effects to dry, before checking it, just to make sure and leaving your fingerprint.....    ENJOY!

Stamp set:   A Good Egg
Cardstock/paper:    Certainly Celery, whisper white, so saffron and Delicate Dots DSP from last year's SAB choices..Accessories:  Ribbon (also from last yr's SAB), this yr's SAB scallop trim border punch, white gel pen, ticket corner punch, and crystal effects.

This second card, I made quite a few all alike.   I really think that the next time, I won't make as many exactly alike, but to change them up a bit.

Stamp set:   Abundant Hope (Occasions mini catalog)
Black staz on ink
I used the special cardstock package from a couple of years ago.   Wild Wasabi that is textured and pre cut and prescored.   I trimmed it to fit in a regular A2 envelope.   Since I used both packs of this paper, it gave me more room in my file cabinet to fit more paper!!!!!!!!!!!  I stamped the image on very vanilla cardstock and colored in the daffodils with the marvelous markers, blush blossom and pretty in pink.   I used the lid of the wild wasabi pad and the aquapainter for the stems and after awhile, I changed and started using the certainly celery marker.  I punched the edges with the eyelet border punch and you can't see in this picture, but I punched the end of the card with the same border punch.  I used the modern label punch for the Greeting and used my BIG SHOT to make the wild wasabi layer.

Happy Easter!
