STAMPIN' UP!'S MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Haitian Disaster Relief
On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. In the past, when terrorists attacked the Twin Towers, when a tsunami struck Indonesia, when a hurricane destroyed New Orleans, and when wildfires ravaged Australia, Stampin' Up! demonstrators stepped forward and showed their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. This time is no different.
From now until February 28, 2010, you can partner with Stampin' Up! to make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this devastating earthquake.
Stampin' Up! will set aside $2 from the sale of every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and donate that money to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.
Anyone wishing to purchase this stamp set, just contact me or go to my Stampin' Up! website, http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampergirl/ and click the shop now button in the upper right hand corner.

Masculine Birthday Card
Here is a masculine card that I made for my Son in Law's birthday this week. It is really easy stamping and a few punches, a little ribbon and that was it.....Really simple. A little advise.....When using Crystal Effects (for the center of the medallion), do it and leave sit for at least 30 mins.. If you don't, you might find a finger print in the center of the medallion (like mine!)
ENJOY!

Ronald McDonald House - Baltimore
MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!! Every year Stampin' Up! raises money for Ronald McDonald House Charities each year by donating $2 from the sale of a specially designed stamp set. They have raised over $800,000.00 over the past 9 years. In addition, Stampin' Up! demonstrators donate time by going to their local RMDH. For Baltimore's RMDH, I am the Lead Demonstrator and I go to the house each month and stamp with the guests who are staying at the house. It is a great feeling to know that I am helping families by sharing my love of stamping with them. The RMDH in Baltimore also collects pull tabs from cans to help raise money too. A nearby demonstrator, Linda Miller, has a friend who has been collecting pull tabs and now is ready to donate them. LOOK at all these pull tabs!!! There are more than 10 bags filled with tabs. Later this week I will take these to the RMDH in Baltimore....I am sure they will be surprised....usually I take maybe a gallon ziplock bag full..... If you want to donate pull tabs for the RMDH in Baltimore, Contact me for more information. Want to donate in another way.....Go to rmhcbaltimore.org and scroll down to view newsletter and on the back page of the newsletter is the House Wish List. Any questions? Contact Me.
Inspired by Nature
This card was made by stampin' friend, Maria. It uses the stamp set, Inspired by Nature. The coneflower image was stamped on vellum and embossed, then to add the vellum to the card it was attached with brads. Ribbon was tied around the bottom, again holding the vellum layer in place and then attached to a folded card. Maria, thanks for letting me show off your work.

3 x 3 cards - and these cards don't need envelopes
These cards are something I came up with a little over a year ago. I wanted to give my waitress something more than just her tip. So I cut some cardstock and scored and cut some more....My friend, Kathie always says "Measure twice, cut once!" and boy did I do some measuring and cutting, but more than once. These cards are quick and easy to make and are great to put with a gift, to put your tip in for your server at a restaurant or just to give to someone who goes "Above and Beyond" or you can make a few and wrap with some cute ribbon and give to someone as a gift.
Stamps used: Vintage Vogue, from the new Occasions Mini Catalog, pg. 26 and Very Vintage wheel on pg 27 of the Occasions mini. The Thank You is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, pg 145 of the Idea Book and Catalog. Want to know more? Contact me and I will give you the information on how to make these cute cards.
Yesterday I visited my grandson's and their parents. We spent the day making and decorating cupcakes.....Oh, what fun.
Here is Colin and Jacob and I mixing up the cupcakes....They were fun to make and eat too!
Thought for the Day...
ENJOY the little things in life... For one day you will look back and realize they were the BIG things.

Birthday card
This is a birthday card I sent to several friends this past few weeks. I decided to stop hoarding my favorite cardstock and color coordinating ribbons. The stamp set is the very very soon to be retired, Branch Out. The cardstock and ribbon are one of my favorites.....Baja Breeze. This card was really very simple and with Stampin' Up!'s matching colors in ink, cardstock and ribbon, makes it SO EASY. I stamped the tree in black ink on baja breeze cardstock and used my stamp a majig to place the redbird on a branch and not in midair....I added white craft "dots" from the same set around the tree and then on the branches of the tree, I used the signo white gel pen. I stamped the birthday greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes on whisper white cardstock and punched it out using the word window punch. Tied some ribbon onto the front in a knot and added the birthday tag with some white thread. If you NEED to get the stamp set before it retires, go to my Stampin' Up! website....stampergirl.stampinup.net. and click the shop now button and order #113200, Branch Out, $22.95...BUT do it FAST, it retireds in 2 hrs....2 a.m. Eastern time.
ENJOY!!!
